Commission a Portrait

The commissioning process is simple. Follow the steps below to commission your pet portrait and let me do the rest. I'm confident that you'll be happy with the results.

1. Contact me by email on alanda@gotadsl.co.uk or by using the contact form to let me know what you had in mind for your portrait. You can also telephone me on (01343) 821124 to discuss this in person.

2. Send clear photos in jpeg format via email or send good copies by post. Please don't send originals that are precious to you by post unless they are well protected and sent by special delivery.

3. Once I have received the photos, I will contact you to make any constructive suggestions for the portrait and discuss the composition with you and when you are happy to proceed, I ask for a 30% deposit to secure the artwork.

4. I will then complete the portrait to your specifications and will contact you when it is finished. I will email a copy of the painting for your approval and if there are any further adjustments required, this is the opportunity to discuss them.

5. Once the painting has met with your approval, the final balance is due before I can send the original to you. If framing is required this can be done at an additional cost, please ask for details when ordering.

5. Pastel paintings take 4-6 weeks to complete, Acrylic paintings take 6-8 weeks and oil paintings may take up to 12 weeks. If you have a specific deadline in mind that is less than these times, please contact me, I always do my best to accomodate if I am able.
